SBLO PROVIDER

All SNAP services run in line with SBLO (Short Break Local Offer) Hours. Families in receipt of these hours can attend all groups at the cost of £3.50 per hour (concession with families on income support/ESA).

Families no longer in receipt of SBLO Hours can still apply to attend groups, however priority is given to SBLO families first, and the charge increase without SBLO is £14 per hour (slight concession for families on income support/ESA)

SNAP's Buddying is a service that was initially set up to support a child/young person in accessing an activity or club that they may otherwise have difficultly accessing alone. For example, a successful buddy relationship was organised to support with the accessing of an evening's Brownies club. With the support of a SNAP buddy the parent didn't have to attend, and the opportunities were widened for the child.

A session with a SNAP buddy can be tailored to the hours required in order to suit the needs of the child/young adult, or the activity they wish to attend. The sessions are charged at a minimum of 2 hours, at £3.50 per hour, per child (SBLO).

In addition there will be a charge for the travel, and entry expenses of the buddy, if necessary which will be invoiced to the family termly.

“Having an activity out of school is so beneficial as it allows Jasmine to understand that she can be left in different settings to enjoy activities. She has an amazing time.”

“I see genuine love for the children and they pick up on it. The chemistry of the room makes each child feel like a superstar. It’s wonderful to have seen my highly anxious son blossom and take part in activities in ways he hasn’t for years.”
